Bedroom Feng Shui Tips

The Sun Newspaper
Financial Set Back Bed Room
Normally, the bed room is located at the back of a house for enjoyment of privacy; whereas the living room is at the front part of the house. However, the new and contemporary condo design has bed room at the front part and near to the main door with the living room at the back of the condo unit. This exposes the bed room. In feng shui this is called as “Financial Set Back House”. This kind of house may give financial problem to its occupants.
Sexual Affair Bed Room
If the door of the bed room is facing directly to the main door, this would cause problematic affair to the occupant. Confrontation of main door with the door of the bed room means the qi from outside is flowing directly into the bed room which represents personal life easily. Direct qi interaction between main opening (main door) and inner opening (bed room door) reflects intimacy relationship is highly possible.
High Sexual Desire Bed Location
Locating your bed at the entrance of the bed room or facing the door of the bed room exposes the bed easily to outsider. Door in feng shui is seen as an opening to outside world. This exposure means the occupant has high sexual desire and opens his arm to welcome romance.
Sickness – Bed Room Door Confronting Toilet
Bathrooms or toilets have long been associated with negative Qi. If your bedroom door faces a toilet door (see picture below), negative Qi will flow from the bathroom to your bedroom. A prolonged period of time staying in such ber room would definitely cause health deterioration.
Unstable Emotion – Bed room door Confronting Kitchen Door
Kitchen is link to fire element in feng shui. A bed room door which faces directly to the kitchen entrance would cause emotional imbalance to the occupant. This would gradually become worse if the bed room door is confronting the stove directly and visibly.
Career Disadvantage – Bed without Solid Bed Head Support
It is very important that your bed is placed against a solid wall as shown in the picture below. The solid wall symbolizes your career and your life foundation.

Hi Master Soon, does the animal sign take into consideration for the arrangement of the bed in the bedroom feng shui?
Hi Erosmars:
Welcome to Oriental Wisdom.
Definitely Yes.
Yes, The whole system of Chinese metaphysics would collapse absolutely.
Thanks.

Hi Master Soon,
I find the information you shared above very useful. I’d appreciate if you can suggest possible solutions on how to counter a bed facing the door (half of the bed is actually facing the door) very similar to your 1st illustration. One side (my side) is directly across our bedroom door so my feet point directly to the door when i sleep.
Unfortunately, bedroom space is limited and this is the only way we can set up the bedroom to allow for ample space to move around.
Looking forward to your advise/ suggestion & reply.
Cheers
Hi Mary4U:
Welcome to Oriental Wisdom.
Option A:
Re-orientate the bed layout till it does not point to bed room door. This a better option
Option B:
Maintain current layout. Close the door all the time. Put a door curtain to shield the door entrance.
Thank You
Master Soon
Hi Master Soon,
I find the information you shared above very useful. I’d appreciate if you can tell me whether is good or bad if bed facing the window and the headboard is same wall with a door. And another case is a window behind the bed while the right hand side of the room is toilet(at the back of wall).
Unfortunately, bedroom space is limited and this is the only way we can set up the bedroom to allow for ample space to move around.
Looking forward to your advise/ suggestion & reply.
Cheers

Welcome to Oriental Wisdom.
Bed facing ? what do you mean?
The worst orientation you should avoid — is the place the headboard pointing to the window or door DIRECTLY.
Other than this, any orientation is acceptable although it is not 100% PERFECT.
Thanks
Master Soon
Hi Master Soon,
Headboard pointing to the window or door directly that u means is it when we sleep, our leg is pointing to the window or door?
Thanks
Master Soon
Erosmars
Dear Master Soon,
Referring to the pictures of bed position above:
a) sleeping in the ideal position (picture #3) but inauspicious direction according to personal kua direction
b) sleeping in the position with wrong support, the headboard same wall with the door (picture #7) but auspicious direction according to personal kua direction,
which is the best bed position between (a) and (b)?
Thank you.
Erosmars:
No.
I mean head pointing is the worst.
leg pointing is worse.
TQ
Master Soon
Dear Master Soon, I appreciate your help and advice on your website. My bedroom faces the bathroom directly, how can i protect myself of sickness. Also I’m a student, what is the best place to locate my desk along in harmony for a good flow of energy. Cheers. Joseline
Joseline Sierra:
Facing bathroom orientation is very bad. Re-orientate the bed.
To be harmonized by the good Qi needs a holistic view of the house and room layout. It is very misleading to ask me to imagine your layout and give you a answer.
Thanks
master Soon
Arron:
Let me ask you 2 questions.
Do you think by putting a rod into in a real and tangible river with flow of water would give you higher possibility to catch a fish?
Or,
Do you think by putting a rod into a unreal river “picture” would make you become magician to turn the unreal become real?
Your answer would reveal the truth to your own question.
Thanks
Master Soon
Dear Master Soon,
Thanks for your reply. So we need to be in the right position where the qi gather to enable us to benefit from the qi, right?
Thank you.
Aaron:
Qi is the essence of the feng shui.
Without essence, there is not good feng shui.
Thanks

Hi Teo:
Welcome to Oriental Wisdom.
You are just like the mass, read a lot of feng shui book. Yet, what you get from book is “Fake” information.
And, you are threatening yourself with this “fake” knowledge.
Thank You
Master Soon
Hi Master,
My bedroom is at 1st floor but facing the main door at Ground floor. Is this consider bad fengshui?

Based on what you mentioned without actual floor plan.
I only could try to imagine the layout.
What do you mean with bedroom door’s wall? bedroom door’s wall or bathroom’s wall?
Thanks
Master Soon
Dear Master Soon,
I’ve got a real problem with my bedroom. We have a very small flat and we’ve recently had to accommodate our son’s crib in the bedroom.
I don’t know how to place our bed and his crib to reach good orientation. The room is rectangular and it has door and window in exactly the same position as on the above picture no 1. Please, please help us find the best solution. My Kua no is 5 and my son’s B-day is 11.07.2009. Not sure about his Kua
All the Best,
Thank you
Bo
Hi Bogusia:
Firstly, I don’t know your gender. So, have no idea of your gua number, there is no gua 5.
However, if your position is picture 1, what you can do is
1) Remain the headboard direction
2) Remove the bed towards the window so that your feett is NOT pointing to the door DIRECTLY.
Thanks
Master Soon
Thank you Master Soon,
I’ll move our bed to the window side but where should I place the baby’s cot? Can I place it next to our bed?
I’m a woman and my date of birth is 30.05.1981
Thank you
Hi Bogusia :
Yes, you could place the baby cot in between your bed and window.
Thanks
Master Soon
Hi Master Soon,
1. My house is a double story terrace. My master bedroom is located at the front of the house, on top of the main door. Is it ok that sleeping upstair with my feet facing the direction of the main door (downstair)?
2. Is it ok that sleeping with my feet facing the window?
3. My sister bedroom door at down stair is facing directly to the toilet door. Any solution for this? I heard putting plant at the side door will cured.
Thanks for your valuable advice!
Hi Yee:
1. It is OK. no problem.
2. yes, it is ok provided that the window is NOT down to earth window.
3. Try to avoid toilet door.
Thanks
Master Soon
Hi Master Soon,
Quite simply, my bedroom door faces directly at the kitchen door.
What should i do? I can’t possibly change the layout of the house.
Most appreciated for your comments.
