My visit to Cheong Kong Center was similarly interesting. It is the office of business empire of multi-billionaire, Li Kar Seng (李嘉诚), one of the wealthiest Chinese in the world. The first thing I did was to examine and consider the topography, geographical setting and landscapes of Cheung Kong Center, while most feng shui masters would directly use Chinese compass to measure without taking the land form into consideration. Then, I took the direction reading.

The reading showed that the whole building faces North-East (东北方). At the right hand side of the building, the staircase is built at a certain degree. The person who designed it took Water Dragon into consideration. From architectural viewpoint, it does not serve any specific purpose,as it is unimaginable and irrational to build a small staircase at an international corporate building. However, from feng shui perspective, this staircase is not only at the Water Dragon location, but also plays the role of directing the Qi (气) to move into the main door from the that particular degree. This creates a path for public to access into the building easier and faster. A walkway must be made at that particular degree to enhance Water Dragon as seen in Photo 2.

The building was built in such a setting so that the main door receives the Qi (气) from the front direction Queensway Road (金钟道) towards left hand side to Des Voeus Rd Center (德辅道中) (Refer to Google Maps at the bottom of this page) as vehicles move as shown in Photo 3. A feng shui master would be able to understand the purpose it was set this way.

Photo 4 shows the East sector(东方) Queensway Road (金钟道) of the Cheung Kong Center. The field work revealed that the area is lower. The building direction was tuned in such sitting as to make sure that this area (at specific degree) becomes its Water Mouth(水口).

The traffic light in photo 5 had also helps to enhance the Water Dragon energy. How? The traffic light serves the purpose to slow down the traffic movement with certain time interval.

I was given to understand by Richard Chan that Li Kar Seng has influenced government decision to avoid a direct poison arrow shooting into this building, as shown by the bridge in Photo 6. The bridge was designed higher at the end that connected to the building to serve a specific feng shui motive.
