In the process of being a feng shui practitioner, we will go through numerous learning steps, ie: beginning course, pre-elementary course, elementary so on and so forth till we reach mastery level. Of course, the methods, skills and guidance from the master are very important for us to be able to master the art of Feng Shui.

But the most important point that we need to understand is that being a feng shui practitioner we have to be able to make Judgment or 断. Judgment refers to the capability to make precise and accurate verdict on the occupant; in terms of various aspects of his life.

Like anything else we do in life, it is through great effort, determination and dedication that we put into enhancing our foundation and our basic understanding of metaphysical and philosophical dimensions of feng shui that determines the magnitude of our feng shui knowledge.

But having said that, you do need to understand besides the master being a channel of feng shui knowledge, it is also self-dependent on you to unlock the great secret of feng shui. The beautiful thing about this is that feng shui does not reveal itself to you laterally. There are many dimensions to feng shui just like in life. Sometimes, 1+1 does not equates to 2 and your understanding of your friend sitting next to you may not be who you think he/she is till you use rational and logical thinking to dive into the many dimensions there is to learn from. Just like feng shui, the philosophical and metaphysical dimensions of it require a student to put more effort, determination, dedication, logical and rational thinking to unlock the secret of feng shui.

And in most cases, students are taught straight from the books and quotes from the master but would it be effective?

Let me give you a scenario:

To be able to pass on an accurate Judgment, a feng shui master will look into every aspect of a property ie: geographical, architectural design, directional alignment, co-relationship of the said property with external environment, locality of the property in that certain topographical features, and also the arrangement of your furniture, segmentation of rooms functionality in the house, location of manhole, water filter, gutters, and outflow of rain water in your car porch, but you have just got to know this feng shui master through word of mouth. So how do you and why would you believe in this feng shui master and not our TV feng shui master?

An experienced feng shui master would then be able to pass a Judgment on your past happenings and current happenings based on the few aspects of the property written above. Usually these Judgments will be accurate to the dot as feng shui judgment relies on how deep you understand the philosophical and metaphysical dimensions of feng shui.

The feng shui formulas which you can find in the books alone do not equip you with the capability and wisdom to predict & make accurate judgment to the occupants. Now this is where you make your own judgment on this feng shui master.

There are instances where some master will pass on rhetorical statements to divert a client’s attention to avoid passing a Judgment.

There are so many self-claimed feng shui masters in our country these days. Now, I can’t say that they are bogus or are they for real but how do you identify them?

Some master has this notion of not giving their all when they are guiding a student.

Such is a case when the master has experienced his own student bailing out on the master by learning halfway or not paying up for tuition fees when needed. Let’s face it, some students may not be able to afford the tuition fees.

But I understand that no matter what happens with the student, it is of the utmost importance that a master practitioner gives out his proven methods, tested methodologies, effective applications and efficient skills which make the Judgment highly possible to his students irregardless of the time and place as our clients has pretty much trust us with their money and to some extent fortune enhancement.

So, to be able to Judge accurately is very much dependant on you getting a very solid and stable foundation which is proven effective from the master, acquiring skills and knowledge and this knowledge is not readily available through books found in bookstores. I’m not saying those books are no good but if there is a master practitioner who is willing to pass on his knowledge, skills and methods to you along with your wisdom, logical and rational thinking, enhances your ability to make accurate Judgment, now wouldn’t that be just wonderful?
